Teaching, motivating, inspiring and learning from others are my passions. I enjoy connecting with individuals and hearing what they have to say and how they think; what motivates them and why? How can each person's unique skills be recognized and utilized? I thrive when helping people grow.
I have been working in the Canadian credit union system for just over 8 years and internationally for 2. My collaborative roles in the system have included HR, consulting, project management and talent development.
I have been a life-long member of Bulkley Valley Credit Union (in Smithers, BC, Canada), am a 5-time recipient of the Credit Union Foundation of BC Bursary and have been an active member of the BCYL Working Committee since its inception in 2016.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Community Leadership Program Certificate from UBC, a Certificate of Business Management and a Certificate of Human Resource Management from SFU, an eCornell Certificate in Strategic Human Resources and a professional designation in HR.
Outside of work, I am a mother to an incredible little girl and a snowboard and yoga enthusiast.
