What is CUESNet? CUESNet at cuesnet.cues.org is a place to engage with your CUES membership and learn how to make the most of your investment. It’s also a place to engage with other CUES members in information- and idea-sharing via the CUESNet communities and Members Share libraries.

Is the CUESNet listerv going away? Yes. Our provider will no longer support the listserv after Jan. 31, 2019. Fortunately, this new CUESNet site offers everything the listserv offered plus much more.

What are the advantages of becoming an active participant on CUESNet? On this site, you can access all the information you need to get a great return on your investment in CUES membership. You also can do exceptional networking and information-sharing through the communities and libraries.

What can I learn on this site more specifically? You can learn about:
  1. the benefits of CUES membership and how to use them (see “My Membership”);
  2. other CUES members (see “Members Shout Out” under “What’s Happening,” “Member Directory” under “Networking,” and/or individual members’ profiles);
  3. any industry topic being discussed in the discussions to which you belong (see “My Communities” under “Communities”); and
  4. CUES events (see various options under “What’s Happening”).

What communities are available? To see the latest, choose “All Communities” from the “Communities” menu.

What libraries are available? To see the latest, choose “Document Libraries” from the “Content” menu.

How do I log in? At cuesnet.cues.org, you can login using the same credentials you use on cues.org. To set your credentials for the first time, choose “I forgot my password.” If you need assistance, please choose “Contact Us” in the upper left-hand corner of the site, email us at cues@cues.org, or give us a call at 800.252.2664, ext. 340.

Do I have to log in every time I come to the site? No. The site will remember your login and give you an opportunity to reset your password should you forget it.

Why should I update my profile? Updating your profile will aid your networking on the site and help others get to know you.

How do I update my profile? Once you log in, click the down arrow in the upper right and choose “Profile” from the menu. Then you can click “add” or the pencil icon to update the various profile items.

How do I manage my notification settings? Once you log in, click the down arrow in the upper right and choose “Profile” from the menu. Choose “Community Notifications” from the “My Account” tab. Here you can set the email address at which you’d like to receive notifications of posts made in specific communities. You can also set the frequency of notification about posts in specific communities to “Real Time,” “Daily Digest” or “No Email.”

How do I change the information in my signature block? Choose “Profile” from the upper-right menu. Choose “Discussion Signature” from the “My Account” menu. Edit your signature and then click “Save.”

How do I update my privacy settings? Choose “Profile” from the upper-right menu. Choose “Privacy” from the “My Account” menu. Here you can choose whether your information will be included in the member directory and community rosters. You can also choose who can see everything from your picture to your past volunteer experience. Be sure to click “Save Changes” at the bottom when you are done.

How do I join a community? Choose “Join a Community” from the “Communities” menu.

How do I leave a community? Choose “My Communities” from the “Communities” menu. Click on the community you wish to leave. Choose “Leave Community” from the “Settings” menu.

Can I add a new community? Currently CUESNet participants can’t start a new community on their own. However, we’d like your suggestions for what community to add next. Contact us with your suggestion(s) at cues@cues.org

How do I start a discussion? Choose “Post a Message” from the “Communities” menu and fill out the web form. Alternatively, you can go to the community in which you want to start a topic and choose “Post to This Discussion.” Get to a community by choosing “My Communities” from the “Communities” menu and then clicking on one of the communities you have joined.

How do I reply to a post? You can reply either on the website or via email. To reply to a post online, go to the post. Click “Reply Inline” and choose one of the options. To reply via email, simply click reply in your email application.

How do I share a document to a library? Choose “Add to a Library” from the “Content” menu and complete the form.

How do I find other CUES members in the member directory? Choose “Member Directory” from the “Networking” menu. Add your search terms(s) and click “Find Members.”

How do I search for posts across multiple communities or libraries? Enter your search term in the field on the right side of the navigation bar. Click the magnifying glass icon.
