Bio

Hello! My name is Shannon Huot. I have been with Educators Credit Union for over 18 years. My whole professional life has been in the finance world. Right out of high school, I started working for an evil-awful place called a "bank!" There I had run with much of the front-line responsibility (teller, head teller, lending, and manager). I left and started working for the Educators Credit Union as a member finance representative (MFR). I didn't know at the time what the difference was between a bank and credit union and thought my time at the credit union would only last around nine months before I graduated from college. I quickly fell in love with the credit union's mission and was in awe of the philosophy of "people helping people," especially in the financial world. My passion for the credit union and the movement continued to grow as my credit union's responsibility continued to evolve. I have enjoyed working in our training department, marketing department, and now I am the Chief Experience Officer. I get the honor of supporting both those departments plus financial education, business development, and our culture and brand. I am  humbled everyday working with such amazing and caring individuals that work towards demonstrating our mission, which is to "passionately help people by educating and advising to earn their loyalty." My work goal every day is to help members and staff understand their financial options to make decisions that are right for them and hopefully have a little less stress when it comes to money.
When I am not at work, I get to spend time with my amazing family! My husband and I have two daughters: Skylar (13) and Hailey (11), and our family dog, Finn. We love adventures and staying active. We love being outside and going on hikes and swimming in our pool.
My hobbies are mainly sports; I enjoy staying active. I love exercising, hiking, skating, swimming, and softball. When I do relax, I enjoy reading and hanging out with family and friends.
