Enterprise Risk Management Audit

Our Board recently approved an Enterprise Risk Management program.  Using the COSO framework as a guide, we identified 9 risk area's and developed 28 key risk indicators (KRI's) to measure our risk exposures.  Our Board would like to get some validation on our structure  and gauge our process against industry standards.  My ask of the group is this: have other credit unions used a resource (auditor/consultant) to validate your process and benchmark your result?  In addition, what was the outcome derived from that effort?

    Thank you,

    John

    Hi John,
I am just starting to engage and start developing our ERM program and working on a presentation to the board on what it is and isn't.  Would you mind sharing what you have developed thus far?
    thank you

    Good morning John,

You can reach me at 860.805.5207 to discuss our ERM Journey.  I can share with you our process and time frame needed to create a formal program that has become a key part of our governance process.

You can email me at john.c@aefcu.com and I can send you some information before our call. I'll also need to know the number you call me from (so I don't send it to voice mail).

I remember being in your shoes and I think I can help.

    John
