    Hello CUESNetters!

This morning I was poking around in CUES Learning Portal and found an article that caught my attention. After reading the article, I thought I would share it with all of you too.

"You Can't Be A Great Leader Without Trust -- Here's How You Build It" By David Horsager.

Horsager discusses 8 key strengths that a great leader possesses: Clarity, Compassion, Character, Contribution, Competency, Connection, Commitment, and Consistency. As I was reading the article, I thought about all the great leaders I've known - teachers/professors, colleagues, bosses, mentors and even parents - and I found that those who I feel were/are great leaders hold at least some of the strengths Horsager talks about. Think about the great leaders you've known, either professionally or personally, do they possess all or some these traits? What about the not so great leaders? What do you find to be a strength that makes a great leader? Do you possess any of them?

I'd love to hear your takeaways from this article, so please share in the discussion replies!

P.S. Don't forget to mark the article complete in CUES Learning Portal!
